Friday Five!

Ahhh Summer! Every year in July, we take a trip to Marco Island, Florida with the whole family for some fun in the sun. This year was no exception and in this week's Friday Five I am sharing our favorite things on the Island.

NO. 1 THE SNOOK INN

Go for the vibes and stay for the food! The Snook Inn is a Marco Island favorite and a MUST when you are visiting the Island. Established 35 years ago, it is known for its good vibes, live music, laid back atmosphere and amazing food. You can arrive by car or pull in on your boat and enjoy the scene! We absolutely love gathering there as a family and you can be sure that if we are in Marco Island... we are definitely hitting The Snook.

NO. 2 WE ARE ON A BOAT!

There are many boat rental establishments in and around Marco Island so if you are into boating, and want to explore the island by sea you are in luck! Be sure to keep an eye out for the dolphins and manatees... if you pay attention you will definitely spot a few! We were a BIG group this year and we rented several boats and headed out to enjoy the scenery and soak up the sun!

NO. 3 PADDLE BOARDING

Soooo we did not quite get around to paddle boarding this year, but it is something we love to do! You can rent them on the beach, or bring your own, and if you are anything like me and are afraid of paddle boarding in the ocean- you can play it safe and cruise the many large canals and inlet areas around the island.

NO. 4 OSTERIA CAPRI (ISLE OF CAPRI - 2 MILES NORTH OF MARCO ISLAND)

I can't say enough about this place! It is quaint with beautiful views AND the food is absolutely some of the best I have tasted! I took this from their website because my words don't seem to do it enough justice: "Osteria Capri features authentic Italian cuisine with a modern sophisticated touch using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. Enjoy a festive experience in a Bistro-style setting, with hundreds of Italian wines and dozens of original oil paintings decorating the walls".

Trust me when I tell you, GO... you will not be disappointed. Not only is food amazing, the staff is polite and the service impeccable.

NO. 5 WEDDING BELLS

There is nothing quite like a wedding by the ocean surrounded by your family and friends and Marco Island is definitely a wedding destination! So much so, my hubby and I got married there in 2018 and I can attest that it is the stuff that wedding dreams are made of! There are many gorgeous locations- we chose Marco Beach Ocean Resort and were married on the outdoor balcony of Sal e Pepe restaurant located in the resort. So, if you are reading this and are looking for places, I can recommend them first hand!
